I read that there is suppose to be a meteorite shower [or something similar] tonight [August 31] or early tomorrow morning [September 1]. This particular shower only happens every 2,000 years or so. Please tell me more about it, do you have links for information? Also when is a good time to look for it in the sky in central California? I really want to see it [since I probably won't be around on two thousand years]. Please answer soon and thanks.

4:30 AM Pacific Time is the best time to see it. Make sure you're away from light sources, since they can damage your view. Hope this helps

Looks like you've got a VERY SLIM chance of seeing one of the meteors in this shower. See the info at the below link. Good luck.

Read all about it at the source. I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you though. Meteor showers can be unpredictable.
