"Goddamn Piece of Paper"
Washington, DC. Dec 14th, 2005 ---- There are multiple reports flying round DC that if true need to be addressed by both Houses of Congress in an Impeachment hearing. President Bush, who many believe is becoming more unstable every day is reported to have had the following exchanges during a meeting with Congressional leaders according to Doug Thompson, reporting in Capitol Hill Blue:

"GOP leaders told Bush that his hardcore push to renew the more onerous provisions of the act could further alienate conservatives still mad at the President from his botched attempt to nominate White House Counsel Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court.

“I don’t give a goddamn,” Bush retorted. “I’m the President and the Commander-in-Chief. Do it my way.”

“Mr. President,” one aide in the meeting said. “There is a valid case that the provisions in this law undermine the Constitution.”

“Stop throwing the Constitution in my face,” Bush screamed back. “It’s just a goddamned piece of paper!”

Doug Thompson wrote that he had talked to three people present for the meeting that day and they all confirm that the President of the United States called the Constitution “a goddamned piece of paper."

That conversation if it did take place deserves a groveling apology at least, and resignation if he had moral scruples. He needs to broadcast his apology to the American people immediately, without hundreds of military and flags as "Made for TV" backdrops.

OK, another one of these people have surfaced. They sit in their dark little holes, reading pure hatred that's posted on the Far Left George Sorros websites, and then like mindless little robots they copy and paste the hate all over the internet, any forum they can find. These hateful people are like a disease in society. They have no solutions, they have no opinions of their own. They only have hate. They are trying to get more people to suspend reason and decency and become hateful like they are. This is exactly how the socialists got started in the 1930s--the National Socialists. Same tactics, same people, same irrational hatred.

Welp, that's your opinion. Show me where it says the President can't say the constitution is "just a piece of paper" in a closed door meeting, and then play me the tape. Otherwise it's just more unsubstantiated allegations, and we all understand very well that you hate our President.

Got any links from legitimate sources. Other wise it's just Doug Thompson's word.

Several people who were at that meeting reported substantively the same thing -- that he made that comment in the manner described.

And it's really not surprising -- given his wanton disregard of constitutional requirements, and his willful violations of federal law -- it's obvious that he doesn't hold either the laws or the Constitution in much regard.

It is just a piece of paper. It is a fluid document.

Paleolibs just won't give up trying to come up with BS reason to impeach Bush.

For those that ask why our president shouldn't be afforded his right of free speech, haha... you do realize that his actions more than coincide with his words, hence we have to take his words or rather his use of words seriously here.

Doesn't surprise me one bit... this is what the conservatives support.
