yeah so i sometimes talk to myself about stuff. yeah it sounds super weird but i don't do it like in a weird way, i guess i just like the sound of my own voice lol. so stuff you'd usually think in your head i kinda say it out loud. but not in public or anything, and its not like i can't control it or its like a problem. i basically only do it when i'm trying to figure something out or solve a problem. like i'll be sitting down and im like 'hmm how am i gonna get all my work done this weekend. i have to ask mom for $10, then i have to make sure i call ashley' or something like that. is it THAT weird? i'm DEFINATELY not anti social, i have a lot of friends, blah blah blah. but i'm not the weird quiet type that just keeps to herself. its just kind of a new habit i have. but is it like super weird or do other people do it?

uhhhhhhhhh, I do it all the time. I don't think it's weird. People at work laugh at me all the time cause I will say "Ok, so I gotta call so and so and then I gotta file these work orders, then I could go for a smoke..." They always ask if I am talking to them and I smile and say no...
Some people think out loud and that's basically what you are doing. Just be careful, sometimes you'll say something you didn't want anyone to hear! LOL

Totally normal babe. In fact it's actually helpful. I'm a psychology major, and we learned about the difference between thinking about a problem and talking about it. Certain kinds of thinkers can conceptionalize ideas better if they say them aloud. It sound's like you are also using talking aloud to help you remember things. Like making lists.... but instead of just thinking about what you have to do you say it out loud. That is normal and beneficial too. By saying it aloud you are much more likely to remember it for a longer period of time. It puts the information into a different part of the brain that is longer lasting when you say it out loud.
On a side note, everyone does it. No worries. It doesn't mean anything.

I think everybody does it. I pretend I'm in a situation, and I make up an entire conversation with somebody. Like I was somewhere that I didn't think I was supposed to be today, and I was like what if cop pulls me over: "Hi, you know you're not supposed to be back here right?" "Hello officer, well honestly I'm lost, I just started driving... I've been lost for a couple of hours and I wanted to go back here to do some thinking".... Stuff like that. xD

No,talking to yourself is not weird at all. Many people do. Some psychologists describe this kind of egocentic speech as a useful way of directing and organizing ones thoughts. Many intellegent and highly educated people do: some perhaps silently and others out loud. Nothing to worry about. I hope you enjoy your own company!

I do that all the time. Like on the show Scrubs, my fav show, the main character, my furture husband, narrates his life in his head. I do the same thing all the time except when I am alone I do talk out loud. I have caught myself in public before doing it and it was so embarrassing! But to answer your question I wouldnt be worried.

It's pretty normal. I've talked to myself my whole life. It IS a little weird if you do it in public loudly enough for others to hear you, but as long as you sound like you're just thinking out loud, and not ranting and raving, no one should really pay you any mind (unless they think you might be speaking to them).

There is nothing wrong with talking to yourself because it sounds like you are just thinking out loud. Now when you go and full blown conversations with you self and then answering yourself back it's a little weird.

You are not weird. It sounds like the conversation in only going one way. If you were speaking to yourself and then answering yourself and the dialog goes on and on then you might have something to worry about. Lot's of people talk to themselves. Don't worry you are not crazy... not yet anyway.

Well I do it all the time but I think I'm weird... lol I'm sure a lot of people do it though. I even do it a little worse than what you said. It's not hurting anyone, don't worry about it lol
