it is impossible to live on this earth and not feel some type of happiness! as we grow and learn from the very beginning of life we feel happiness! (unfortunately) we also have to find out how sadness and pain feels too. don't be fooled into thinking that your happiness depends on the love you want or have from another person! because nothing last forever... but the love you have for yourself!!! and if you don't love yourself or think your special... why should anyone else? keep in mind that relationships are stepping stones to that one "Great Love" going through many of them will help you to know how to treat the great one when you find it!! DON'T FALL OFF THE STONES YET! look into the mirror and smile! tell that person that you Love him/her! (and mean it!!)

It's impossible to KNOW happiness will never be felt again. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. You have friends and family who will be DEVASTATED by your death, it's the most selfish decision you could ever make.
You know, everything in life happens for a reason - sometimes that reason just isn't made clear until after the fact. Sounds like an anti-depressant and some counseling would do you a world of good.

Sounds like you are really depressed and are looking for someone to convince you not to actually commit suicide or you're just looking for attention.
Either way... saying that happiness will never be felt again is just ridiculous. Once you're at the bottom, you can only go up. Whatever you're going through, it will get better- if you want it to, and you TRY and make it happen.
Committing suicide is the most selfish thing in the world, and it will leave your family and friends DEVASTATED. If you're feeling that low, you really need to talk to someone about it. Things most likely aren't going to get better overnight, but if you really want the pain to end, and want to be happy and live life, then make it happen. Start by getting help and take it one day at a time.

No way. I am a selfish man. I love my life and do not allow anything to disrupt it, not even my feelings. I keep my head held high and my eyes searching the skies for a better tomorrow. I dream of good things during the day and deeply tucked in my bed I fantasize about them.
No, no way I can take out my life because of an historical event in my life. I will not allow events of yesterday to affect my future, even though they may have left a deep scar.
Be forward looking by having a clear vision for your precious life.

I'm dealing with this very aspec of my life now. Of course, I',m also over 55 and nearing the end rather than the beginning. But my reasoning is that the best has been and there is nothing bright to look foreward to. That and the fact that I don't buy lottery tickets so I don't see anything changing.

Quit being a selfish little baby and improve your life. Nobody is going to solve your problems but yourself. Get to work.
You will see if you make a proactive effort at life that life is worth living.

No it's not cuz you're not the God, and you have no way of predicting the future. Your happiness might be just around the corner, who knows?

No. Because you don't have a crystal ball and can't predict your own future happiness.
