Acetone. (Fingernail polish remover works too on paper towels) I had to take it off my son's car. Who puts housepaint on a windshield? I scraped with a razor blade, used comet (also works) and tried goop. The best thing was the acetone, but I was very careful not to get it on the paint, just the window.

I would ask either a paint store ("ask Sherwin Williams"?), a home improvement store (home depot, lowe's?), and/or an auto parts store or auto dealer.
Someone must have encountered this question or problem before.
I bet a car dealership has taken a trade in before with this type of "detailing".
In fact, that's probably the BEST place to start, ask an auto detailer!!
:)

A razor blade and a foam widow cleaner. Keep the blade at an angle to keep from cutting the glass.

All you need is a simple glass cleaner and a razor blade. You you don't need acetone or nail polish or other gimmicks. Make sure you use the razor blade in a slicing motion.
