What I don't understand is why anyone would want to swim in their own pee?

In some public swimming pools in South Australia they add a chemical to the water so that if anyone pee's it reacts and turns the pee purple so every one knows. Then they kick you out *♥*

That would be funny if it really existed. A few people have mentioned that there is a chemical that is put in the pool that forms a purple cloud when someone pees, but that is just an urban legend...something lifegaurds lie to kids about.

No one would go swimming. But if that would happen then there would be no one in the pool to pee in it.

That would be wonderful. That thing would be going off all the time in public pools. Maybe then people would stop peeing in it.

some public pools where i live do have something like that.
if someone pees the water around them turns purple and they get kicked out for the rest of the summer.

everyone would pee even more in the pool just to get the rush of almost being caught or to see if they could get away with it....

i can't swim.

are you sure they don't already have those? where like a purple cloud forms under the water when the urine has a chemical reaction with a certain additive to the pool. i swear i think i have heard of those.

Lots of people would quit going to them, now if the detectors had an electric shock attached to them then things might get interesting.....
