My vote is determined completely by the issues, and by the person who earns my vote (based on their opinions on the issues, their voting record, their experience...). Party does not come into play for me personally. I tend to be conservative, but in the last election cycle, I voted for a Democrat for House and a Republican for Senate because they were the best people for the jobs.

Issues and the candidates' stand on them. The party system should be abolished, American voters should take the time to educate themselves and the single party vote button should be removed from all voting machines and paperwork.

I will declare a party affiliation for the primary elections, so I can vote both candidates and issues. In general elections, I never vote for one political party.

Issues, completely. I just happen to agree with the conservatives more often, but I'm a Libertarian, so I also disagree strongly with the conservative platform on many issues.

I basically vote on the issues, such as:

The candidate that promises the most in the defense of human life, and one that upholds the bonds of marriage between One Man and One Woman Only.

And generally one that is a Christian candidate.
