Any Republican can do Moral Outrage on cue, unless it's about Cost Overruns, Consumer Fraud, Unsafe Products or Briges to Nowhere.

But, locking the barn door in case that danged horse decides to sneak back in is something they do a lot, too.

You decide.

The Republican party, the party of family values. No matter HOW you look at it, they're no better than the very folks that they've spent the last 20 years pointing fingers at. What a bunch of Hypocrites! Yes, you ARE correct, Mad. Those folks seem to be able to point the finger of "moral outrage" at everyone except when it comes to their OWN moral shortcomings. The only problem is, they're ALSO experts at sweeping stuff under the rug, given enough time. And this NEW outrage is going to be forgotten by the time of the first primary. And two weeks before election, you're going to see Osama Bin Hiding paraded around Washington DC in handcuffs, so that the Repugnicans can take the White House all over again. The WHOLE political system is corrupted from the bottom all the way to the top and it doesn't matter WHICH party is running things. They're ALL a bunch of spoiled rich kids parading around in their limos while the average citizen is begging for a bandaid at the local free clinic.

It's pure damage control.

The repubs knew about the charges against Craig but had no problem with them as long as they thought they could keep them hushed up. Of course, they dumped him as soon as the facts became public.
