Salve Regina University is known as a Catholic College, and I am not very religious. Can I still go? If so, what does it mean by Catholic College?

Anyone is welcome to attend a Catholic college. However, religion courses are a part of the core requirement, regardless of your faith. Expect to take at least two religion courses. There are always a lot to choose from, and they do not all deal with Catholicism. Many are just generic Christian courses.

The majority of students who do attend will most likely be Catholic, but no one will care if you are not. There will also be more religious activities, such as retreats and masses, but attendance is optional.

Yes.

From Salve Regina University's FAQs:

Do you have to be Catholic to attend Salve Regina? What is the religious climate?

We welcome students of all faiths into our community; you don't have to be Catholic. Salve Regina was founded in 1947 by the Sisters of Mercy, a Catholic order of nuns devoted to education and community service. President M. Therese Antone is a Sister of Mercy, along with some of our faculty members. The Sisters of Mercy's commitment to the core values of justice, service and mercy gives the university its strong mission and identity. Through academic coursework and extracurricular activities, Salve Regina students of all faiths are encouraged to embrace these principles and grow spiritually in an open-minded, diverse and comfortable atmosphere.
