Many of them just don't vote, or don't vote right.

explain the road map, terrorist are growing, have been for 40 years, this isn't just a Bush thing. The Quran say all westerns need to die, they get 40 virgins for putting us outta they're misery. Its gonna get a lot worse every year no matter what party is in office. This is going to have to be dealt with. Bush had the coconuts to see an do something. If not Iraq, then who to start with , he was suppose to be the strongest. This could've been easy , but the Democrats saw things going too good so its been nothing but undermine the Republicans every since. Remind them we were once United here in the United States. By the way ask your Democrate family where is the anthrax an mustard gas the U.N. says Saddom had, but was never found. Iraq was and still is a good choice to start the road map, the people of America lack the back bone to finish anything an the Democrats got scared they would never see office again, so hence the undermine part came in.

Love them no matter what.
When they call you names, don't return the insult.

Calmly explain to them the big global picture and what is at stake for our nation.

Remind them the Stock Market has grown over 200% under a Bush administration, that their taxes have been cut twice, and that we recovered from a major terrorist attack in record time and have not been attacked again.

Inform them that 50 million people who were living in constant fear in Iraq and Afganistan of their murderous leaders, now live in freedom and only have their radicals to deal with to become a democracy and grow like crazy.

Warn them that many media outlets, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, etc., are liberal and broadcast very slanted news ment to undermind the President, how well we are winning in Iraq, and how important it is for us and the world that we stay and finish the job. To fail this mission, insures a new world war.
It is that serious. If the free world had stopped Hitler before Poland, 25 million people would not have had to die. We are fighting the Nazis of the 21st Century.

There is more, but that is a start.
But above all, love them, and be patient for them to come around.

Given the way things have been going the last six years, and given the impending financial crisis that will result from this massive deficit created by the current administration, you probably won't have much luck persuanding anybody to vote GOP in 2008.

The only way they might be persuaded is if you forced them to watch FOX News 24 hours a day. That actually might work.

Focus on the issues that are important to them and where they agree with Republicans, or try to convince them that a certain issue is more important when they already agree. It's easier than convincing them to completely overturn everything they believe in.

That's a hard one. I've been working on some family members for years with no luck. They say they vote democrat because "that's who my parents voted for". Kind of hard to argue that. I try to get them to read up on actual issues because I know they would switch if they did. But of course they are too busy to actually LEARN something. I would prefer uninformed people to not vote at all.

When a local election comes around, hold a neighborhood coffee to meet the candidates and invite your friends, neighbors and relatives. Many candidates are open to this. Hopefully they will like the candidate and get more involved in the political process.

Instead of convincing people to vote for one party or the next... I tend to try to get people to do research on "all" candidates & then choose who they think is best to run this great nation. People resent when someone tries to get them to do something without explaination.

Ask them if they like the way that England is headed. If they don't (many English don't), then don't vote democratic/socialist. If they feel that school vouchers are good for the inner city families stuck in bad schools, vote Republican, they feel the same way. And, vote republican because Bull Connor was a Democrat.

Show them the glowing record of the current president, and all the good he has done the earth. Then show them all of his Cabinet that have fallen, and those yet to fall. Then tell them that "God will forgive them for being sinners, but not for being Hypocrites". That should go a long way to convince them.
