Most of the time it comes down to physical interaction.Some women like having a relationship without the thought of sexual intercourse.Most women who marry men in prison are serving long sentences.

Women always want to believe the sunny side up tales men tell. They want to be the one who changes the man, or the reason they change.

The only other thing I can think of is they are so dependent on someone that for everything they "need" that they will wait until that person comes home.

Because men in prison have learned what it's like to be a woman and are more understanding of a woman's needs.

There's a name for this disorder, I just cannot remember the name of it. Basically, the woman likes the idea of having someone to love and care about, but, having the distance between them. They want to feel as though they are helping and supporting someone without that person leaving the toilet seat up.

As far as I know, the woman think they can change them back into a law abiding citizen.

And because they want a man they think is going to protect them.
