what people don't realize is that in the bible and in most religions it's still the old school of thought. If the husband approves of anything then it's ok, and any responsibility falls upon his head. If a husband says it's an open marriage and allows his spouse to go out and do whatever, then it's approved. And if a husband chooses to do the same then it's approved. The commandments say you cannot do those things (but the religion itself says it depends on what the ruler of the home, the husband, says). To naturally "assume" that either partner is doing wrong when the person who does the assuming is not part of the marriage...is just wrong.

So when you talk about cheating, that means the legal husband (not just partmer) has gone out on his wife, and it's his own choice to do so, and is a situation between him and his wife. For the wife to do so means they have an open marriage and it is allowed.

Everyone can be "caught" and with the great PI's of today they "would" be caught, no one gets away with anything. Your question is not clear in that it talks about "partner" and not husband or wife, and talks about being "caught" which is ok to do when you're not married because you're not committed by law.

no never cheated & i don't understand why people do so fast in a relationship & have the nerve to say its a lot of problems when it might be a couple of things but nothing major...no room to speak for endurance....when you've done all that you can do with every little or big problem & its been over five yrs or more dealing with the same old same old & nothing gets better then i can see the consideration of making that mistake & still it wouldn't be right...tell me whats wrong with these selfish people the moment they don't get their way over the weekend their bumping & grining the next person they see 1st thing monday & have the nerve to say i really do know what love is ...i've known & seen these people its just a disappointment in what loyality, endurance, & love is all about....

Looking back on it-no-I dont regret cheating on my husband. I know I probably should, but he cheated on me too and he was a very cruel man to me and the children. When we got divorced and married a girl 15 years younger than him, I told him I was glad I had him when all of his parts were still working. She's welcome to him.

If I did I think I will regret it. That is if I really love my partner. If you dont then you wont care and naturally you'd do it again thinking you can get away with it again.
