I don't know why life is more diffficult for some people than for others.Of course we can take the obvious criteria like social position,economcs,culture,education,health etc.Most of these will give a person an edge in life.However how we decide to "live" life and all its ups and downs will contribute how hard our life is.Sometimes when we experience hardship and disappointment we learn to appreciate life more. My sister says that" We have to not just go through life but we have to grow through life." I can't remember where she heard that quote but I think it is a good one .

Because we constantly have to prove ourselves... it's always an uphill climb. But each step is one step closer to the top and one more notch of experience...

I'm getting to that point n my life where everything is starting to make sense. Now I feel terrible for being a 'know-it-all' back then.

Life isn't hard. Just sit there and exist and life isn't very hard. It's when you try to gain things that ou don't already have then life becomes hard. Stop wanting things and life becomes so much easier. I'm mostly referring to material things. If you are so stressed by life, you might find solace in Buddhism as a philosophy in the least.

Life is hard because it makes people feel worthwhile to overcome difficulty. Without hardship, we would never appreciate the good times either.

because if you were always happy you would take it for granted and wouldn't appreicate the good stuff in life. also, god wants you to learn lessons from life, and if everything was fun in the sun, no one would learn anything and no one would ever work for anything. life is all about taking chances and improving your character. happiness all the time wouldn't give you that at all. best of luck in life. :]

It's hard because it is a constant challenge and we have to make decisions all of the time. Sometimes we make the wrong ones but hopefully we can learn from them. Oh, also, there are a lot of mean, rude and jealous people out there that want to bring others down!

If everything in life was easy, then the pride and happiness you feel when you succeed is less gratifying and almost hollow.
If everything in life was easy, then life would be boring.
If everything in life was easy, then we would never experience any intense emotions.
If everything in life was easy, then there prodigies wouldn't exist.
If everything in life was easy, everyone would understand everything and what fun would that be? Humans were made to be curious and ask questions.
