I'm 14 years old, and I'm exteremely small for my age.
I look about 12.
People tease and joke about my height and petit frame.
I try eating at least 4 meals a day.
I haven't gotten my period yet.
I really need to know if I'm normal or if I'll grow to be at least 5'3"
Most women in my family are small.

don't worry, you'll grow into yourself if not physically then mentally. you are a cute girl and shouldn't worry about what other people think. when i was 12 i was 5 foot 2 and now i'm 26 and the same damn size. the reason you probably haven't had a period yet is because of your weight. you have to have the appropriate amount of body weight to have a period. one of my best friends didn't have a period until she was 16, so you aren't abnormal. it's ok to look young for your age, you'll appreciate it later. i know it sucks now, but you'll come to terms with it. people like to point out how small i am too, like i don't freakin know, but most people hold a place in their hearts for petite people because there's something feisty and charming about us. if most of the women in your family are small, then it's likely you'll stay small too. you probably aren't done growing yet so give yourself some time. you can't rush biology. if you don't get your period by the time you're 16, then you should see dr about it to make sure there isn't something else that's prohibiting your development. who's to say what's normal anyways? be proud of who you are.

As long as you get your period before you're 16 thats normal-if not see a doctor. You'd be suprised how many people want to be petite! Everyone seems to hate their bodies when everyone is some kind of beautiful. If most women in your family are petite then it's most likely genetic and perfectly natural. Don't try to force weight on because as you get older it will come..and not come off easily. Just eat balanced and healthy.

You look fine to me.My wife is very short,I liked petite when I was dating. We have a 14 year old son,12 year old daughter, and 9 year old daughter.I'm 5' 10'' and my wife is 5' 2'';she comes up to my chin.I keep wanting to pick her up and hold her in my arms, she looks cute and cuddly.Your parents are your best answer, you should favor one or the other. The height will be half-way between the two.You shouldn't be posting pictures on such a public site, have you told your parents? It is normal to be unsure of your looks right now.Make friends at school that don't tease you for your looks. The ones that do aren't worth it.

Well there is your answer. "Most women in my family are small" You are just following the hereditary in your family. Sorry about that. But don't take anybody that is teasing you seriously. It is just in fun and there is nothing that you can do about it so don't sweat it. It appears that you have a fast metabolism so you are able to eat a lot. Don't worry about not getting your period. It will come when your body is ready. Again there is nothing that you can do to speed things up. Good luck. Nice picture.

You look cute. Don't worry about it. Don't force your eating. You could get into bad habits and then you will be fighting the other direction which can also be a pain. You are going to catch up. If you are small, you are small. That is what nature intended. Don't fight it. Go with the plusses of being petite. Many people would just envy you.

Many teens differ in size and grow up to be different in size as well. Since you have mentioned that others in your family line are small then its likely that you will be that way and therefore is a normal thing. If anything try exercising.

My daughters were petite also, You 'll fill out over the next couple of years. Look on the bright side , you'll always look younger ,so when you're 40 , you'll look 25, That's a good thing

My little sister was the same way. It will come trust me. My little sister didn't start her period until she was 15, she still looks like she is in 7th grade and is just about to start high school. My mother didn't start her's until she was 16. It just depends on your family history. And as for those who make fun of you just remember it all means nothing in the end as long as you find what makes you happy.

You are small but so is my family. I weighed around 100lbs and had 2 daughters 20 years later I still am small around 115lbs. It's OK to be small. We are what we are. Dynamite comes in small packages!
