Propostion 2 is seeking a 5.98% raise for the Mayor and City Council of Phoenix, Arizona. Here in Phoenix the crime continues to rise, juvenile delinquency is high, teenage pregnancy is high, neighborhoods are deteriorating, streets are pot-filled, bus stops are dirty, buses dirty, and unreliable at times, rude city employees, pollution is terrible, immigration is out of control, City Council members out of touch with its constituents, the Mayor wants to concentrate on more jobs. But these jobs seem to go to people living in the suburbs not Phoenix constituents. Job training and education not funded. What have the City Council and Mayor done to earn a raise? They should do like Tony Snow and go to work for the private sector to earn more money. The government at any level is not a source to earn a living above the poverty line. These are public servant positions, meaning you are a public servant because you want to help, improve, and make a difference.
