Traveling next week with husband and our 2 kids, boy aged 14 months and girl almost 4. This is baby's 1st trip to Europe, daughter's 2nd, and hubby and I have been there several times. We are meeting up in Frankfurt and plan to go to Paris, but want to spend a few days in one other city. Hubby & I have been to Brussels before, but not to Zurich. We can't decide whether we should go to Zurich or Brussels with the kids. Which would be better, and why?

Brussels will be more interesting than Zurich for the kids and agreed, it will be cheaper also. If you have already been to Brussels, and you are driving from Paris, then have you thought about Antwerp/Luxemburg (very close together), Dusseldorf, or best of all flying to Berlin? Enjoy your trip.

Zurich is quite far from Paris, you know. Are you taking them to Euro-Disney near Paris? Near Brussels you could go to Brugge and Ghent which are very pretty towns, but with kids I think they'll be happy just to be with mom and dad, wherever you are. You could throw in a Rhine river cruise and look at
castles and go to Heidelberg. Strasbourg France is also enchanting. So is Annecy, with a lake and a castle in the middle of a river.
However, you might want to read up on what kinds of things you can take the babes to that they will enjoy like zoos or parks. I'm sure Brussels as well as most cities will have things for children, but I tend to think you've got the big cities already on your itinerary, so try to find something more rural to round out your trip. They might also like taking the trains, or enjoy things you wouldn't even think are special.

Personally, I think u should take the kids to Brussels, as although you have already been there with your hubby, Brussels is a more laid-back city and you can have more fun there with your kids, it is a better atmosphere. I find something very serious about Zurich and it's a very international city so it's busier, etc. I definately suggest Brussels! The kids will love it and you will enjoy it more as there is so much to do there, along with having time to relax.....having a laid-back holiday with your kids and hubby! Enjoy your time wherever you go! Hope this helped. :)

I`m in agreement with Tay.
Also, Zurich is likely to be the more expensive of the two.
