As long as the "human girls" are not actual animals, I don't see a big issue in the future. Have your girlfriend dress up in bunny ears for you one night. You may like that more than you think. However, many men fantasize similar things, and a lot more men fantasize far worse things. Take Playboy for instance. Their girls dress as bunnies, so it sounds as though you are perfectly natural, and artistic too.
Just as long as you don't get too crazy and weird, and keep this stuff to yourself in public, then I don't see anything wrong from this viewpoint. Furthermore, I am thankful you didn't say little girls, because then there would be a big problem. As long as these "girls" are adult girls, then it's perfectly fine.

Have you ever heard of people that are turned on by those big animal mascot suits and/or big mascot heads? They are called "Furries" (plural for a "Furry") I read about it in a magazine, and then CSI did an episode about it. You should do a search on Yahoo. Maybe you can find an online community and hook up with others. Who knows - you may meet a girl that's into it, too. (or guy, whatever your preference)

People have different fetishes and fantasies. I mean...there are people that actually participate in bestiality or eat their own feces and get sexual fulfillment out of that. I don't think what you're describing is nearly as extreme as those though. It's a lot like hentai actually...no weirder than BDSM either I think. And BDSM is socially acceptable in some groups. =)

I am not sure how normal it is, but you are not the only one. Have you never heard of Hentai? Look up some Japanese animation, and you'll see there are more than a few people into it.
