of disclaiming the fact that we humans share 99.6% of our active genes with chimpanzees?

Or someone who discredits this as evidence for evolution.

SPECIFIC people please.

I'd like to read what they have to say....

I'm simply interested. It has nothing to do with changing anyone's mind - I'm just curious. Is that stirring the poopy?

The NCSE (http://www.ncseweb.org/) has a list of "big players" to this body of literature as well as responses to many of them from the science community.

You could start with "Of Pandas and People" by Davis and Kenyon and its critical evaluation during the Dover Trial that's posted on the NCSE. It is kinda funny-it is supposedly the text ID/creationists want in schools, however they don't even get the anatomy of the panda's hand correct in their own book (which is part of their "arguement"). Please check out the video and powerpoint and written arguements on the NCSE site to see how ridiculous this text really is.

Please be aware: these authors are skilled in rhetoric and skillfully use poor logic for their "arguements" against evolution. They never correctly represent or discuss scientific evidence and turn around the facts of evolution and how science works.

Lee Strobel, a proponent of the Intelligent Design movement, wrote a book called "The Case for a Creator".

In the chapter on evolution he makes some interesting observations which he backs up with scientific evidence. You can decide if the evidence stands up to peer review by doing some additional research.

There is a lot of science in this book.

Just when there's a calm day in the science section someone has to come along and stir the s***.

They will never convince you of their viewpoint, you will never convince them of yours. Live and let live.

***In my opinion, your question is fine. I just know how some people in this place can be. So its best to steer away from stuff like this.

I think it's Dr. Dino who takes it as evidence that chimps and man have the same Creator.
