No, the people asking the "could i be pregnant" question aren't stupid. (at least mostly... I've never met them).
I think that they are mostly women who are too early in their cycle to test, and anxious for an answer, so they're looking anywhere they can for information to ease their mind in the mean time & interpret what they're feeling. In fact, I think most of the people asking are hoping that they are pregnant, & not "stupid teenagers" as one person put it. If you're sick of posts like that, then don't read them.

I think some people just feel a lot of emotions when they consider the fact that they could be pregnant. They may not have been thinking about the consequences while performing the act, but afterward, there is all kinds of time to think, and wait, and want to talk to others about what they might be feeling about becoming pregnant.
My advice to all of them is to take a pregnancy test, I hear you can get them at the dollar store, and they are supposed to be just as accurate as the more expensive kinds.
I recently found out I was pregnant after taking a few hpts and the most reliable one that I trusted was the digital ept that says "pregnant" or "not pregnant."

Because people are stupid or they just worry to damn much or they are to young to be having sex and are freaking out..... Its like the questions that are like..I took 12 tests and they all came back negative and like I got my period and we used condoms and I'm on birth control and I took the morning after pill am I pregnant? I really want to ask well I took 4 test and they all came back positive and I haven't had my period in 3 months and I don't use condoms or birth control and the Dr said I'm pregnant Do you think I'm pregnant? Come on people use common sense god gave you a brain for some reason use it....

I don't get it myself. How are we suppose to know? If you had unprotected sex, have missed a period or start to feel kinda sick then mayyybe you should take your butt to the drug store and get a test. I sincerely hope these people are not looking for a definite answer on yahoo answers. Yikes!
Wow, seems someone is giving all those who just don't get WHY so many girls ask about pregnancy tests on here a thumbs down. ....

I don't get it either. Well, some of them make sense, the "The test was negative, but... " sorts of questions, because sometimes you can test too early. However, the, "should I buy a test" bugs me. Even at the drug store a test is less than $10, and you can get them at dollar tree now! If you're worried, but buy a dozen of them one time, and you can test whenever you're afraid.

Exactly!...There are tons and I always think...if you think your pregnant and you can't figure out on your own THAT YOU NEED TO TAKE A TEST to find out..then maybe you shouldn't be having sex in the first place...
How are we suppose to know if they are pregnant or not..TAKE A TEST!

Ahh, you are new to Y!A. The pregnancy questions are standard fare. That and penis length! Answer if you want and pile up answer points, but you'll meet the daily limit really quickly since you are just starting out.

I guess it's such an exciting possibility (or for other women, scary) that many women want to run it by somebody else who might have more experience than they do before they go out and buy a test.

I think most of the questions are from young teenage girls who obviously didnt take sex education class or from women who are too scared to take a test and face reality so they depend on the suggestions and advice of the strangers of the yahoo pregnancy forums.
