I would suggest going to a doctor asap. It is possible that it could be broken, but the only way to tell is with an x-ray. Until you are able to go to the doctor I would suggest using the RICE technique (rest, ice, compression, and elevation) and taking some ibuprofen.

You are not able to inform with out an X-ray. I learnt that on a primary help path. Sometimes you are not able to even think while it is damaged given that the muscle groups pull the bone in combination however it is the two ends rubbing that factors the soreness. Go to clinic and get an X-ray confidently it is only a sprain however you would must lay of the TKD for a few weeks and get crutches. Do it quickly cos a damaged bone begins treatment inside half-hour of the coincidence so it would want atmosphere, confidently no longer.Good success :)

If you cannot make it move- or if you pull on it and it feels "loose," and if you put pressure on the ankle (I forget what the bone is called) the part that sticks out and directly on the other side (push together), you can't take 4 steps then it is most likely broken and not sprained.

Do this- put ice on it with a towel around it every 20 min take/ offa and on. keep it elevated, with some compression(don't put it on so tight that it turns blue, silly!) and rest. (we call this the RICE treatment. you have to go in though to a doc to see it. mabye not an e r, mabye an urgent care clinic. don't call an ambulance- this is not a life threat.

Yes. I was on the soccer field, and the exact thing happened to me, except I jumped, and landed. It may not be your ankle, that's what I thought, but it could be another small bone in your foot. Go to your doctor, immediatly.

Go to a doctor. It could be just sprained but go anyway to make sure. When you sprain your ankle it makes a cracking sound too, but go and find out, please. It will make me feel better. We have people who don't come to the ER when they brake something and it heals wrong. Then a couple of years later they come in complaining of bad pain. We have to operate and re-brake it. It is more painful. PLEASE see a doctor.

If there is any discoloration, you probably did. The crack it made tells me you did something serious and you need to get a doctor to look at it. Don't waste any time getting it checked.

umm huh thats a hard question to answer. lets see

IS IT PURPLE?
CAN YOU WALK ON IT?
IS THE BONE COMING OUT OF THE SKIN?

MAYBE YOU SHOULD CALL A DOCTOR, WOW THATS SOOOOOOO HARD.........

and anyway if you can sit here and ask a stupid question and not be screaming in pain i think your fine.

MENTALLY RETARDED but otherwise....
