Not only do vampire bats have an anesthetic (since they mostly feed on cattle blood it would be suicide not to numb the site), they are also the only blood feeding bats. Other bats feed on insects, fruit, and nectar.
Side note: if you are bitten by a vampire bat the most likely area is on your big toe and the only real danger is a possible bacterial infection or rabies.

There is only one species of bats that feeds on blood, and the largest is the venezuelan giant vampire bat, or Desmodus rotundus. They have an anethstetic chemical in their saliva, so when they bite an animal, that chemical inmediately disensitizes the area and also avoids the blood to coagulate.
