Have the torque convertor checked by your mechanic or a transmission shop. If the problem is only from a dead stop that is most likely what it is.

good luck

There are several things that this could be. I would start with the simple items and work up to the more expensive.

1.Check the fuel filter - people often neglect to replace these and they can clog over the years and hurt performance.
2.Pour a can of injector cleaner in the gas tank.
3.Inspect the vacuum hoses for cracks - listen for a sucking sound.
4.Inspect the spark plug wires for cracks - the easiest way is to get a spray bottle with water - open the hood on a dark night turn on the car and spray aroung the wires. If there are cracks you will see arching. Watch your fingers around the fan and belts.
5. Inspect the coil wire - same procedure as above.

If none of these prove to be the cause - then it may be a bad fule pump, a cloged converter, or a bad mass airflow sensor.

Bring it back to the place that did the tune-up. If the problem was not there before than they must have dome something wrong. The effect you are talking about can be caused by a lot of things.

Could be a clogged fuel filter weak fuel pump or restricted catalytic converter. Try the fuel filter first it is much cheaper and easier to replace.

try the air and then the gas filters, both very cheap at the auto store,[ doens't also hurt to rattle the PCV, ask someone at the store where it is, it's so simple a cave man could do it, oops!]
