If you're watching TV, read news on internet, read newspapers, talk to people who do any of the above then yes you are.
If you live in a forest all by yourself then you are not.

We all are, and it's not a matter of knowing. It should be obvious. If you are talking about the kind of mind control that makes you a subservient slave who only does the bidding of whoever the master is, get that dumb idea out of your head. That is a fairy tale. We are however brainwashed without realizing it. We are subjected to right and left wing media all the time since we were children. You may say that you make your own decisions about things, but when your decisions are made because of what you "know" from television they are already biased toward what you "learned" from the media. When there are rich people who own the news companies like CNN or Fox News they are going to make sure the news is reported according to their political ideas. Therefore the media can't help being biased. If they report things from an angle that disagrees with that of the owner or at least in a more neutral way, they may be out of a job. Add the fact that Americans watch an average of about 3 hours of TV per day and you have a perfect outlet for brainwashing people.

I know a lot of people are! And its really quite sad. They dont go and look for the information (the truth) themselves, do no research on their opinions/likes/dislikes and just go off parading what the mainstream is saying/doing!
Here's an indication if YOU are following mainstream:
- what does mainstream say/do on (insert opinion/thing/trend here)? And what are your views? Are they similar? What is your justification?? In terms of historical and moral outlooks?? (Dont just be like ohhh gay people just freak me out - then you are just mainstreamed)
- Whats your justification on your views? (I just hate them or I think I'm right - but with no historical backing or evidence) then you are prone to follow mainstream - because you can just accept "facts" without knowing firsthand if they really are facts or not!
And for cultures too - dont be like ohh I hate or love (insert country here) because of blab blab blab - how TRUE is that?
Why dont you actually go and research it first? Wikipedia, foreign newspaper, and talking to foreigners who like politics will generally help you get a "fresh" view!

everyone who observes mainstream media on any level is influenced by its mind control.
you only know it when you think about it consciously and compare mainstream media to non mainstream media and your own observations.
check out psychological warfare, propaganda (public relations), and mind control itself.
