I will vote in the upcoming presidential election in order to insure the worst of the bunch is not elected like the last double 4 year term results went.
Because Bush won twice, I'm voting for anyone but a megalomaniac moron.
This means I will cast my vote for the person who can get our troops out of Iraq fast, and the Mexicans out of USA faster.

The Democrats and Republicans and news media collude (quixotically) to ensure that the American people are not presented with any viable alternatives. Honestly, in a country of over 300 million people, what are the chances that the best candidate for president would just happen to be the son of a former president? I think you'll need Carl Sagan to answer that question. Now, we are to believe that another former president's wife is the best candidate for the job, just because she's a woman? Aren't there approximately 150 million women to choose from, give or take? Also, why is it that when a candidate from a party other than Democrat or Republican is always referred to by the media as 'independent'? There is nothing in the constitution about a two party system. There have been many parties that came and went over the years, at what point did these two parties lock everybody else out? It happened when they started colluding, that's when. RON PAUL IN 2008!

I stopped voting for a few elections because NONE of the candidates I had been voting for made it down to the final pick. I used to do the write in and found it was a waste of my time. I never could stomach the bad taste left in my mouth for having to choose someone just because there was nothing better (lesser evil). Of course the year I decide enough is enough, there was a total screw up with the voting system and now I even doubt that we truly get to vote. Perhaps it is just a farce. I am going to try it again and have even talked with others in my community that usually don't vote to just pick someone who just may be able to do something for us.

As far as presidential elections why bother, history has already shown that a majority of the citizens can vote for a person and they still won't win because that is not who the electoral college voted for. They say every vote counts... no it doesn't it's every electoral vote that counts.

I agree that the candidates suck but I always vote. Since I vote, I have a right to complain!

Nothing, I vote. It's easy. If you're too lazy to vote by mail or to show up with the current system, which already makes it TOO easy (voter fraud), please, stay home, your opinion isn't worth expressing.
