Recently my computer stopped working. There is a "No Signal" display on my monitor screen when I start my PC. After several hours of replacing parts and rebuilding (custom built) the system I decided to investigate whether the monitor was the problem.

With that, I thought "Let's see what happens when I press all the buttons on my monitor!" Bad idea. My screen now shows a "Burn-in" message instead of searching for an input and flashes green, red, blue, white etc. and repeats.

I can't access the OSD (On-Screen Display) and I've tried the obvious like unplugging it and then plugging it back in. In case it matters, it's an Envision G19WLk.

Does anyone know how I can stop it from doing that?

I'm sorry that my answer will not help you, but I wanted to chime in and tell you that I have done that as well. I also thought that pressing all of the buttons would do some sort of magical re-set. Well, I guess that they aren't made to re-set that way because my attempt failed as well. Unfortunately, I never fixed it myself or found out what happened -- it happened at work and the IT guys came and replaced the sick monitor with a new one. Good luck.

At a guess I would hold down all the keys again for 10 or 30 seconds.

Failing that contact the monitor manufacturer. They will know how to fix it.
