this is a experiment that I have to do before wednesday september 5th! the holes are very small (2-3 mm) and you have to mesure every 5 seconds the level of the water in the bottle to do a graph! the question that I have to anwser is what is the salt doing in this experiment !

maybe the salt is absorbing the water? maybe ...... dont trust me on this one

Based on what you have outlined:

Are you performing the exercise twice:
Once with salt and once without salt?

If so, the ONLY PARAMETER that you can measure and comment on is the FLOW RATE. (Unless you also make visual observations about possible salt accumulations on the bottom of the bottle.)

Either the salt is changing the flow rate or it isn't.

Since this is an experiment, any opinions that you might express as to WHY the rate changes is mere speculation unless you have some observable evidence.

If you are only doing the experiment with salt in the water, then you can not make any conclusions (other than visual observations about accumulation at the bottom of the bottle) since you have nothing with which you can compare your observations.

HINT: You might want to keep an eye on the bottom of your bottle (outside) where the water drips out. (Maybe even have a magnifying glass handy.)

Salt water has a higher viscosity and density than fresh water. In this case, it's probably the increased viscosity you're going to be concerned with. Higher viscosity means slower flow through the constricted holes, means slower drop in the water level.
