also how did ivf work me and my gf are going to try but she was sterilized about 5 years ago now we have met she would love to have my child and i would love for her to be the father to my first born, but i want to know how good it is and if it worked for you anything apart from costs and doctors wont help and all that stuff we just want to know does it work did it work for you, we cant remember if she was cut and tied or clipped but she is pretty sure she was cut she had the sterilization straight after having a cerserion birth so will that alter things and if you have also had a reversal after being sterilized after giving birth then did it work for you please as many answers as possible please

The only one who can answer this question is your GF's doctor. It doesn't matter if reversal worked for anybody else. If there isn't enough tubing there, the doctor CAN'T DO THE SURGERY. It's very easy to go in and get a consultation, but she'll have to get a copy of her medical records for him to check. If there is enough tube, the success of getting a take-home baby is better with reversal than all forms of IVF.

The same technique is done whether it is done by a laposcopy (sp?) or cesearean.

Some are reversable but it depends upon what type she had. Some reversals are successful, some lead to tubal pregnancies which can be scary.
