I don't know any like that, most of them like you are hateful and bitter. My suggestion comrade, like it so well move over there. Oh I forgot, they won't let you, they do not allow dissent or subversives.

In return for their taxes, they get a better set of government services.
On the other hand, there are probably other reasons that their political beliefs and government services:
- Possibly less stress
- Less work hours (and better labour laws ... workers in Europe are more unionized)
- More sleep
Ultimately, whether they are happier at all is open to debate. It depends on where you get your information from.

Liberals cover quite a range, from the typical enraged radical feminist, to the THC polluted hippie...I live in California, and even here, in Liberal Socialist Central, I still see hard working capitalists as being more happy than the burned out coffee house dwelling liberal....Money doesn't buy happiness, but it sure puts a nice down payment on it. Yeah, Liberals do make the best porn though, good point.

Seriously, though, I thik it's because studies show that well-rested people are generally happier and less stressed than people who get little to no rest. And Democrats have an easier time sleeping at night.

I think their happiness is drug-induced.
I prefer to deal with the real world, which I'm sorry to say, can be distressing at times. At least I don't bury my head in the sand and surrender my cognitive faculties to some drug-induced haze and then claim I am happy with my life.
That said, I'm not a cheerleader for the American tax system. It needs a major overhaul.
