I have no idea. It might work with diluted 0% or powdered milk as a fertilizer but any fat would cause the soil to get rancid, smell and attract vermin. RScott

I have no idea. I told my mom about this and she thought I was crazy. But I tell you what, I stopped watering with a little bit of milk (like 1/8 of a cup per gallon), and just started using just water, and they all started wilting. There is no smell either. If there is then you're using too much milk. I've found that whole milk works best too. Maybe it's the calories.LOL. I guess those things are good for something after all.

It doesn't. 1% or 0 fat milk diluted with water is used to treat powdery mildew and molds. It's not intended to feed the plant. I can't imagine what it must smell like after a day of sitting in the soil. At most you should only wash the foliage with the dilution, but I'd never put it in the soil.

Milk contains calcium, and it may be that your plant needs a little bit of calcium. However, I think that the potential problems from the fats in the milk, not to mention the cost, would make it something that you don't want to do *too* often.

It's not good to use milk full strength on plants.

Milk is used for control of powdery mildew, but only a 10% (1 part milk to 9 parts water) is used for that.

"Once concentrations rose above 30%, an innoccuous fungus began to grow on the plants."
