It was the only job I had for 30 years and it was very stressful. I was a psychiatric nurse on a locked unit. I had to learn MAB, which involved putting people in restraints and giving injections when the patient was totally out of control. I had my nose broken, my thumb almost bitten off and chunks of hair pulled from my head. There were just enough times when I know I helped someone to keep me coming back into work.
After I retired I sleep really good and dont need to take TUMS anymore.

When I worked for a brain injury institute.
My job was to take calls from people needing assistance, and the majority of them were brain injured, although you'd sometimes get a family member calling in. I got used to it after a while, but it was still stressful everytime I got on the phone with someone. You just never knew how bad their injury was and if they were even going to be able to keep it together long enough for you to get their information.
And then you had to gauge the call and decide whether the person needed emergency help...thankfully I never one of those!

Seriously speaking, BABYSITTING. Let me explain to you why. You are watching little human beings who have energy that will last a lifetime and who want to do anything and everything all at once. It's annoying and frustrating at times and of course, it's very stressful. I think having to watch or care for a child(ren) is the most stressful job ANYONE could ever have.

working at a bank. There are so many customers who are well i don't even have to say it.
I'd say working with the public is emotionally and physically draining on anyone though.
