Okay, when I came home from vacation this summer, I tried turning on my comp. The power plug was unplugged. My mom said my computer was making this wierd noise and it wouldn't turn off so she unplugged it. I tried plugging it back on and when i did that the power button started flashing and making this wierd noise. It will not turn on at all, and will not open CD drives. I'm going to give a lot of details so you know everything that I can observe from it. Please help if you can.
DETAILS:
Fan is working
Power button flashing orangish-green extremley fast
Makes a 'dududududududu' sound in tune with the flashing
light below power button is yellow
All wires are indeed plugged in
When first press moniter button on it is green for a sec then...
Moniter light is orange (color it is on standbye and when off)
Will not turn off no matter what unless you unplug power cord
The moniter is not the problem, that I am sure of
Computer is an emachines
Around 4 years old I think.

It's not your monitor. Sounds like a serious power problem. The last system that acted like that I saw had been hit by lightning. (well, the power line). It was a total loss. I would advise you write it off, but if you're willing to spend some money on a chance, take it to a repair shop. The power supply is almost certainly blown, the motherboard may be. Your disk drive might be salvageable.

Sorry to have to tell you bad news.
