im 17 weeks and my belly is just flabby i dont look pregnant at all!!

If you are really worried by two test take the first then take the second 4 days later.

A couple of months ago i was so worried about having lost my baby io went into hospital and thats the advice the doc gave me he said if i have lost it then after the 4 days it would show up negative.

i have heard the heart beat 3 times i had my 1st scan 3 wk early and i have had 10 home pregnancy tests and so far everything has been fine.

i can understand your worries but it wont help.

everyone is different.

try not to worry hun.

Good luck. x

Hi Shelby,
You would know if you were losing the baby - you would have had other signs such as bleeding.
Your uterus grows with the baby growing inside of it over the course of your pregnancy. It is normal that the uterus doesn't even peep above the pelvic brim until about 12 weeks. [that is the bit above your pubic hair line :)] It can sometimes be a little earlier for 2nd time mums and those carrying multiple pregnancies. If you want to feel it, lay on your back and relax your tummy muscles - if you gently feel around your bikini line, you might feel a firmish lump!
By 20 weeks the top of your uterus should be able to be felt about the level of your belly button. So it has grown a lot between 12 and 20 weeks!

You tummy does not need to be hard to still be pregnant. How long ago did you have the scan and did you see the baby when you had the scan. Next appointment with your GP you should tell him your fears so that he can put your mind at rest. Also read some of the literature you are given to note the stages you are going through and what to expect from body changes.

Nope, if its your first, it can take up to 12-14 weeks for the uterus to crest the pubic bone and then you'll begin to feel a bump.

If its your second or more, you will show sooner, but if you are thin...thats just how your body is.

Doc did an ultrasound and saw baby right? Dont worry then...wait til next apt you'll be about 12 weeks and will hear the heartbeat at that point.

At two months I wasn't showing at all and your tummy shouldn't be hard yet. Your uteris is just starting to get bigger and will take a while before you start to notice. If you are majorly concerned that you lost the baby, I suggest making a dr. appt. I believe you are just fine, give it a lil time and your tummy will start to grow and get harder as your uteris gets bigger. Good luck and congrats on the pregnancy.

I'm 9 weeks and my tummy isn't hard, and it's my 2nd pregnancy. Your uterus is about 6" below your belly button at this time. Your tummy won't be hard for a couple more months..

My stomach didnt get hard really until i became about 17 weeks pregnant.I dont think you lost your baby just because your stomach isnt hard yet, if you are still worried ask the doctor

No you didn't lose the baby.

My stomach stayed the same firmness from before I was pregnant. It didn't get hard until I was about 4 months.
