I think Vista ready means Direct X 10 ready, I'm sure it doesn't matter, but if you wanna get the full Aero experience, a better video card will be better.

It shouldn't affect it at all :s

The only thing that would make a video card not Vista ready is if there are no Vista drivers for it. Althou Vista has DirectX10, video cards with DX9 will work but only at DX9. You just won't be able to play the games coming out in only DX10..

it won't "vista ready" video cards have direct x 10. Vista is VERY graphic demanding so if you intend on playing fairly new 3d games you'll suffer if you don't have something powerful enough if you're only going to be using word processor and internet ( which i doubt since you're looking at video cards) then i would say dont sweat it. SO. if you wanna play games at a good qualtiy/performance go with at least a nvidia 8600 gts card or better

Do not worry. Only software has to be Vista compatible. Vista is a clever OS therefore it will automatically install the right drivers. If not, use the installation cd that came with the hardware.

Good luck.

It really depends, if you're using Vista I don't think it will work! So just get a Vista one, they don't cost much these days!

Normally internal Hardware like a Video Card could care less what Operating System you have Installed.
Now, if you are in to gameing then I take it you want to upgrade, check if it will fit the motherboard it will work.
