America used to be a country that was proud, a country that was strong, and had a deep faith and belief in God. We did not always agree on everything as a nation, but we managed to work out most of our differences, (1861-1865 not withstanding).
One hundred years ago, if you committed a crime, you did the time. Now, there are people who will blame society for the actions of criminals.
One hundred years ago, disruptive students in school where paddled, of suspended. Now kids are given drugs to calm them down.
One hundred years ago, parents taught there children respect, discipline, and honor. Now, does anyone know (or care) what children are taught at home?
One hundred years ago, God was allowed in the classroom, now GOD is being forced out of our lives totally, in public and in private.
One hundred years ago, we did not have political correctness. The most important thing was being right or wrong. Now, seems all anyone cares about is offending someone else, right or wrong be damned!
One hundred years ago, America had moral character.
How is America different today? One hundred years ago, people cared about something, and someone other than themselves, and counted on themselves for what they had and/or wanted. Today, more and more people care only about themselves, and what they can get given to them.
One hundred years ago, we did not have "The Great Society". We did not have liberalism. We did not have political correctness. We did not have the vocal MINORITY telling the rest of us how to live, and that the majority is wrong.
One hundred years ago, we were a nation of builders. Boulder Dam in Arizona was bulit in I believe 2 years from nothing except an idea. Six years after the World Trade Center was destroyed, we still have a hole in the ground, and nothing even planned as yet.
I could go on, but this is enough.
One final point, I assume you know this, but some may read this and not know, and I sure don't want someone to have to look up something for themselves. 1861-1865 was the dates of the Civil War in this country.

From the 60's on American culture has been slowly dissipating and being replaced by foreign cultures. This is due to leftist media control, abortion killing off generations of Americans, and mass immigration.
