A lot of the people that visit here do tend to tell you that they are not seniors but wanted to answer the question. Even kids will answer for their parents or grandmothers. I especially enjoy Erik A, relatively new, who I believe stated he was 39.
Yes I think its pretty neat. I hang out sometimes in Polls & Surveys and while you have your usual trolls there, most of the young are pretty great kids. So I guess it is a trade off.

But there are no entrance exams to get onto any site. Are all the people who answer questions in the Lesbian, Gay, Bi and Transexual site any of those four? Have all the people in Etiquette been trained in the manners and mannerisms proper to societal etiquette rules?
Your wanting to check that every one who answers in the Senior's section is actually a "senior" smacks too much of George Orwell's 1984! Our society is too regulated to begin with. Will I next have to do a retinal scan to prove that the fingers typing this note are coming from the person I claim to be?
I have been on this seniors site since it's inception. I like the fact that we are open to any individual that wants to spend some time with us, and answer a few questions respectfully and as accurately as they can manage.
We, the usual members, are trying to keep Senior's as a breath of fresh air in the craziness that is Yahoo. Allowing interference from any individual or group in our enjoyment of our site, is not a productive way to do that.
You should look at your last line. To us, Senior's has ALWAYS been a place where we all "get away from all the other sites where people just send hateful responses", no matter WHAT age the respondents happen to be.

Pre-seniors are also here. Every once and a while too, the forum gets answers from those in the field of gerontology, which I think is a real benefit (and thoughtful).
You are correct though: The answers here are most often cordial ones and the posters tend to show a great deal of respect for one another, no matter their differences.

It is fun . I recently asked the same question in four categorys, just changed the wording a little not my age. Some of the answers were priceless, I laughed so hard at one, the child that answered was very sincere and helpful, just answered the question as he/she understood it. The answer made perfect since to me too. In fact it was very practical LOL so sweet and intelligent. I loved it.

Probably pop in to see what the old geezers are gabbing
about. Kinda like when my kids were little and would act
like they were doing something else to get within earshot
to hear what the adults were talking about. Think most of
the younguns that pop in here get out quick out of boredom.

I'm actually a "baby boomer: My wife is 7 years older, which gets her the senior discount, but I really don't know how you define senior citizen.

I know for a fact that not all are seniors! I had one girl answer my question and made me laugh so hard as she was a "senior" in high school and thought I was in the wrong section! LOL And, we are looked at as being a little "demented" or, forgetful? LOL!

I'm quite sure that not everyone on this site is a senior, but that's OK, I'm happy to share. Its like talking to my kids and their friends - you get all sorts of viewpoints, which is refreshing.

It doesn't take much of a genius to tell who is who here. Personally, I don't care, but when info given is obviously that of a younger person parading as a senior, it is somewhat disconcerting..why the charade????

Probably the only teens on here are you and me. Everyone else is the age they claim to be.
