In the past, yes I cared about it a lot.
If someone said something - about my height for example being a little 5'3, I would be in tears for days.
Now I shrug it off, It does no use to yourself worrying about what people constantly think, now if someone insults me I either say something back to them which I know will hurt or I just completely ignore it and don't let it bother me.

The older I get the less I care about what other people think. Some things I can't or won't change! Family and close friends are the ones who matter but they accept me as I am anyway!

There are few people who can say they don't care what people think. People who don't care what people think of them wouldn't wear deodorant, take a shower, shave, brush their teeth, they would walk around naked in front of anybody, poop in front of anybody, etc. etc. Sure, I don't care what people think of how I dress and my personality. I'm never afraid to go against the status quo -- and judging by the thumbs down, I suppose I've done that, but I don't want to drive people away either.

i know a lot of people on here will say no they don't care. but i don't, no. i care if someone thinks ill about my family and friends though. funny that, i get all defensive. but nah, if someone doesn't like me its their loss. i like me and those i have within my social circle and family are all that matter. that's all you need though isn't it.

Nope. The most important thing you can do is to feel happy about yourself - then any compliments are a bonus. x
