Dems have been the strongest supporters of gay people-Fact

Now suddenly a Republican party member comes out of the closet, dems are rejoicing his misfortune rather than showing him support and tolerance.

As for me, I never heard of him before all this hoopala. I think if he really did make unwanted sexual advances toward anyone then he needs to go.

That is a pretty true statement. Democrats are all about tolerance. Tolerate gay marriage, tolerate the women who kill their unborn child, yet they have no toleration when we need to use our military and they have no toleration when a republican gets caught doing something that they all work so hard to say is ok!

No doubt some Dems are but then Dems aren't a monolithic party. It's members don't think in lockstep and neither, I suspect, do the members of the Republican party. Personally, I think both parties should admit it. Of those Dems who are reveling in Craig's pain I believe it generally has less to do with the fact that he may be gay than the fact that he tried to set himself up as a morally superior human being and (surprise) turned out not to be. That's no excuse. I feel sorry for the guy, and would just as soon see everyone move on to something more important. Sorry his party is hanging him out to twist in the wind. If more politicians admitted that they're typically flawed human beings from the start. Average citizens might not be so eager to see them fall.

They have no tolerance of any thing they did not instill an can gain by.

I have to say after hearing the police tape I am not so sure he did what he is accused and admitted to. He should have gotten an attorney and fought if innocent and not think he could use his Congress get of jail card that both sides use. And if he is a gay why was it kept silent from both sides as they all protect each other in a what happens on capital hill stays on capital hill. They are all corrupt and the right alt least holds our accountable but the left does not.
It is sick and sad both and if this man was like he said parted his legs to keep his pants from hitting the floor well than this is bad for every one. As I know I do not want my pants hitting the floor of an public restroom and the gay punks of the left are going to turn this in to a witch hunt from their deviant acts and using public places.Keep it behind your closed doors and no where else and stop trying to bring it out of the closet and make the rest of us see your sick acts.

You're attempting to mix the issues.

Nice try, though.

As to whether or not Democrats (as a whole) are supportive of gays is NOT the issue.

What's on the table is that the man in question maintained a vociferous ANTI-GAY stance, and then, he ends up getting busted for essentially soliciting. You can call it whatever you like.

The issue is basically STUPIDITY. Like...with this guys ANTI-GAY position and whatever family life he maintained, at WHAT POINT did he suddenly get the inspiration that it was a GOOD IDEA to troll for sex in a public bathroom?????

I mean, for God's sake, the internet is safer than THAT! Plus, there are scores of underground, adult newspapers out there.

Why take chances in a public venue???

But, as we have all seen in the recent past, it is often the most vociferous ANTI-GAY people that end up being "outed."

Craig simply isn't gay enough. Just like Clarence Thomas isn't black enough.

In Dem world, a person cannot possibly be black--or gay--and be a Republican.

Libs keep crowing about Craig's hypocrisy, and to a degree they are right, but when a Dem is caught like Studds or Frank, the libs applaud the behavior whereas conservatives damn it.

I'm not sorry to see Craig go, and it has nothing to do with his sexual dalliances, but rather how he voted on the immigration bill.

I don't give a damn about him. If he broke the law he needs to be punished regardless of his sexuality (though I don't know the case at all). Anyone who picks on him simply because he's gay is wrong - so is anyone who spares him because he's gay. It should make absolutely no difference whatsoever.

Yes. Lack of tolerance for those married individuals who illegally solicit sex with total strangers in public restrooms.

express himself

They only show "tolerance" when it counts in favor of their agenda, when they can shove their Socialistic agenda on the rest of society.

Multiculturalsim - it's the worst thing that ever happened to America.
