Day trip to Seattle next week from Vancouver. Would like to avoid border line-ups.
Thanks...

Rather than going through the Peace Arch Border Crossing, go through Aldergrove, unless it is considerably out of your way. The wait times are less most of the time, but it is only open from 8am to midnight.

To get there, take TransCanada Hwy #1 to Aldergrove, it's around exit 272 or so ... the Zoo exit. The road that you exit onto, take a left at it, and it goes to the border. Just before the border, if you take zero avenue and circle around, you can cut into the line if there is one. Once through the border stop, stay pon the road into Bellingham, you will be on Meridian, and you can access Interstate #5 south to Seattle from it.

On the way back, take the Meridian exit in Bellingham, and then the transcanada hwy once back in Canada. This really can save a lot of time, esp. in peek season and on holidays and weekends.

Another alternative is Abbotsford/Sumas, but that is really out of the way if your origination or destination is downtown Vancouver.
