a baby over 24 pounds? My advice - remove the rubber nipple from the Kool-Aid and limit your baby to a dozen happy meals per day.

If you don't mind me asking-is this your first child. how old is he?

I really recommend you ditching the swing, growing dependency on something that at some point will be grown out of will only cause bigger problems than the one you are dealing with now. :)

There are so many age/weight appropriate entertaining merchandise other than swings! They have convertable rockers/virbration chairs that actually convert into toddler rockers!

But if you can't find a swing appropriate for his weight, I wouldn't continue to put him in it! Wouldn't want it to break!

Good luck.

I don't know of a swing that fits a bigger baby, but I just wanted to say I'm surprised people are telling you it will make your baby fat! My daughter is a big girl, and will hit the 25 lb mark long before she is too big age- and developmental-wise for a swing. She's not fat, she's just big, and I'm assuming your baby is too!

try this one the seat is good to forty pounds the frame until 30

i would ditch the swing though time for a walker or exersaucer.
continuing this will make for an overweight fat baby. your baby needs to learn to fall asleep in his xcrib and to self soothe hes never gonna do that in the swing
