Me, my cousin, and a couple of my co-workers were having a discussion. We were debating about The 'BLACK' Republican running against The 'WHITE' Democrat for President. We were debating who would the 'WHITE' Republicans vote for, The 'BLACK' Republican or The 'WHITE' Democrat?

I think in this country it's 'SKIN TONE' first. I can't see 'WHITE' Republicans voting for a 'BLACK' man. In this country it's hard enough for a 'BLACK' man to get promoted at certain jobs (even if he's qualified). In this country 'RACISM' still exist and I can't see a racist voting for a 'BLACK' man (even if he's protecting their money). What do you guys think?

BTW, don't get me wrong because I'm not calling 'ALL' republicans racist. I think that some would vote for the brotha but the 'MAJORITY' won't.

Most republican aren't so racist as to vote for somebody outside of their own party just because of skin color. Any who would are mostly either those who are much more racist than most or those who aren't very firm republicans to begin with. I am a Republican and I would vote for the Republican candidate whether he's black or white. Democrats tend to steriotype Republicans for all being racist, but it's not true.

As long as people keep bringing Race into issues then yes it will remain skin tone first... you are assuming people wouldn't vote for a "black man" and saying the majority of Republicans are racist with no facts to back up that assumptions.. please look at life differently.. it's not all about Race.. and the sooner people like you realize that.. the quicker racism will be a thing of the past... please look in the mirror before you call people racist that you don't even know- I am so sick of people calling the kettle black... this is the year 2007- it's time to stop living in the past and look toward the future.. please don't assume.. because we all know what happens when we assume.... you are spreading racism and hate.. and this is what you are teaching our youth.. it's not good... please realize that the US is filled with many different types of people, different races, different heritages, different orientation, different cultures, etc... the sooner people like you realize that the better off your life will be

Chances ar I would vot for the person the I agree with on his/her policies. This doesn't matter if they are Democrat or Republican. I vote issues, not parties, however it looks like I will vote Republican on the next race. Even if it was a "Brotha."

PS- I am white.

Thinking that is racist. Whites and Republicans aren't racist. Democrats would do anything for votes, so if they put a minority as a Democratic candidate, minorities will vote for them in the long run. Ever watch Head of State with Chris Rock? Same thing but the Dems do it in real life.

I think you're wrong about that. If a really qualified black candidate were to run I think he'd get the nomination and most of the votes. JC Watts is the man!!

I notice how you didn't mention the question of who all the 'BLACK' Democrats (since most blacks are Dems) would vote for. There wouldn't be any racism involved in the answer, would there?

BTW, I think the best next President would be Colin Powell, but he won't run.

It does not matter if you are white or black people will vote for whoever is the best candidate for the job. I dont understand why people like to turn this into a race issue because it is not a race issue at all

I'd vote for whomever represented my interests.

I don't give a damn about skin color. The only thing that annoys me is the race-baiting and the "wounded victim" act that so many black leaders portray themselves as when they are hustlers and bullies.

I love the good black leaders like MLK and Jesse Jackson (back when he was honest).

I hate the Al Sharptons of the world.

White republicans aren't nearly as racist and bigoted as you give us credit for. Who comes up with all the racial charts and tables, White democrats..White republicans, generally, don't care. Ask any white republican if they would vote for Condi Rice, if it was between her and Hilda-beast and you might just be surprised.

Oh, and that crap about it being hard for black men to get promoted at certain jobs..Affirmative action will take care of that for you. There are so many worthless blacks (and others) getting paid high salaries with b.s. positions created just for them to keep A.A. off the companies back.

have only registered Republican once and that was to vote for Alan Keyes . think Condi Rice and JC Watts would also serve our country well. would like to ask how many Democrats would vote for a black president. not as many as you think. most white liberals know are the most racist people that I know.
