I have been this girls best friend for YEARS. I love her like a sister, but the last 2 years she has really let herself go. She did crack for a while. She has cheaked onher husband many times (although he had it coming....it wan't a normal marraige) and then she divorced him. She has been on welfare for the last 10 years. She refuses to get a job and hangs out with deadbeats. I worry all the time about my 3 god kids but am helpless to do anything. I found out that 3 days ago she files a police report stateing that her ex hubby broke into her house and robbed her and the kids. (2 days before that a local church bought her a AC and the kids a bunk bed and food) What really happened was that she pawned all the stuff, even the food and kids new bed for money. Today she went back to this church to ask them to pay her rent and light bill. They said that they would... but then she took the money that she would have spent and blew it on new clothes for her, beer for her BF and- below

And junk for the house. And I do mean junk.

So I called the church to let them know that she has scamed then and that she was planning on doing it next month as well. Then I called the police dep and informed them that she filed that robbery claim under false terms (I had found out that she used MY name as an eye witness!!) I feel really bad but I am tired of this girl useing people. Was I wrong?

NO, YOU'RE NOT WRONG!!! SHE'S A USER. IF SHE CONTINUES TO GET AWAY WITH IT SHE'LL KEPP DOING IT. USING YOUR NAME WAS AN ALL TIME LOW, INVOLVING YOU IN HER CRAP. PLEASE DON'T ASSOCIATE WITH TRASH, IT'LL JUST BRING YOU DOWN. AND NEXT THING YOU KNOW.PEOPLE THINK YOU'RE LIKE HER (BIRDS OF A FEATHER) NOT TO MENTION BAD KARMA.

I know it's hard that your best friend is going through tough times or changes but you just have to believe in your values. Do you think what you did was right? I mean, to me, that's totally wrong! She could getting in trouble for frauds. But your friend has changed for the worse and to me that's not being friend. I'd totally stay away from her all together cuz she could get you in more deep troubles more than you realize. I hope this helps. I'll pray for you to make the right decisions.

i don't think you were wrong really. you have to think of the kids. honestly, i think i'd walk away frrom her. you can't really do anything for her. she knows you'd never let anything happen to her children but you can't let her take advantage or you like she has with others.
