Are you trying to get pregnant? There's always a chance of that. I used to be on depo. I was on it for 3 or 4 years before I decided to give my body a break from such high amounts of hormones. A year after I stopped, I had to go on the pill to restart my period. The depo had completely screwed up my natural hormone levels. So, there's a chance you're hormone levels could be screwed up as well. I would talk to your doctor for advice and answers.

theres always a chance. But alot of women cant get pregnant for 2 years after getting off depo- especially if you've been on it for a year. I was on it for 3 years and i have been so much happier since i've been off it. Depo did not work for me because of the side effects- deppression and weight gain. I immediatly lost 20 lbs after i got off depo!!!!! And besides the weight gain and depression-- I had absolutly NO sex drive!!!!

If you are not on any type of contraceptive and you are sexually active, there is always a chance of pregnancy. But, it has been found, that women getting off of depo do take a little longer to concieve. This does not mean that you should risk it though! Get on another type of birth control or use condoms with a spermicide ( or both - double protection!)

I've heard all kind of things about getting PG after using depo, but most things are negative. In my opinion it will depend on your personal health circumstances. Just a doctor will tell you exactly when are you most fertile during the ovulation time. Most of my fiends have tried to get PG for years before succeeding.

It depends from person to person.

I've heard women get pregnant ON the shot, immediately after the shot, and some took at least two years to get pregnant.

Did you gain any weight? I sure did. 50 lbs in 3 months! I have been told it is very difficult to get preg after being on it so long. Don't ever get an IUD either. They suck and all you do is bleed for 6 months.
