Well it depends on what the situation is. If they're people you associate with through choice, cut them off and don't associate with them at all, that's easy.
If it's something you are experiencing say, in the workplace, then you absolutely should not have to deal with that. Any sort of abuse or harrassment in the workplace is totally unacceptable these days and most companies or organizations will deal with it very harshly as they should.
But in the end, in reasonable circumstances, nobody should be able to rule your life but you unless you let them. Stand up and take the steps to end this problem.
But it's difficult to answer a question like this when it's so vague.

Bullying is a form of abuse. Depending on the type of bullying you are experiencing, whether it's at work or home report it to the appropriate authority. If you don't the bullying will continue and make your life miserable. Bully's thrive on their victims fear, so you must find the courage to overcome your fear and put an end to this bullying.

This is a massive question. And impossible to answer without more information. I think you should get help in this situation from someone who's used to dealing with such questions, because I know bullying can have a devastating effect on your life. Seek out a help organisation for this on line. If your in UK then ring the Samaritans for some help with information.

I reckon you'll get a lot of answers here saying how you have to ignore it, or reason with the bullies, or tell someone.
The truth is though that doing any of the above is likely to land you in further hot sh*t with the bullies.
However, as crappy as it may sound, your first step really HAS to be to tell someone (you can trust not to blab without your permission) what's going on. A real person - not us phoneys on the internet.
Once you've done that then you can work out together what to do next.
Good luck.

In my experience bullies usually have something going on in their lives that they either can't control or don't want to face up to so they take their anger and sometimes aggression out on people, the best thing to do is rise above it because you are a better person than they are, get on with your life and try not to let them get to you, if they see they are getting to you they will do it all the more.
Good luck x

know firstly that you are better than them, people that bully are people that are unhappy with there lives,so they try and pass on some of their misery to others, you, you must stand up to them,if it is happening in a work place, let the boss know, you' are adult,it's not like you're telling the teacher, you have to make this known,if it is not in the workplace, you must go to the police, make sure people know, the majority of adults would be mortified if they knew of bullying going on so get a bit of back up and stand up to them

If it's at work, keep a log book. Check your employment contract, and other policies regarding workplace bullying.
Speak to any union rep, personnel etc.
If it's yobs, drunks, or other creatures, then call 101. They are pretty useless in some cases, but will come out if thy get enough calls especially from the same area.

How? What are they doing?
If it is at work, go and speak to your boss about it. It's not you are telling on them. You work is supposed to be a nice environment. If they are making it hostile, they could lose their jobs.
If it is in your personal life, well the only thing you can do there is step up and tell them off. Don't threaten them or anything, but let them know you're serious.
But if you don't like confrontation, you could always try ignoring them until they see that it isn't bothering you and just go away.

I would DEARLY love to help you with this problem, but can you please post some more information? Who are they, for a start? I have worked as a teacher so I know quite a lot about bullying at school, but I have also worked in offices, care homes, nursing homes, etc. I was a Samaritan for years. You can talk to me and I can probably help you, but I just need a bit more information. Please respond.
