DOT 3 fluid is the recommended fluid or this vehicle.

Have your brakes checked A.S.A.P. to see why they are rubbing.

It is important to have your brake fluid changed every 2 years. The reason is it absorbs moisture from the air which reduces its boiling temperature and causing the liquid to turn into a vapour. And well vapour is compressible which would lead to less effective braking.

Check the top of your master cylinder lid, im sure it takes DOT 3. You might wanna have a mechanic look at your brakes if you do not know how to yourself.

You should NEVER just add brake fluid, unless you have a leak.

Your brakes are worn out.
Have them replaced.

DOT 3 AND GET THE BRAKES CHECKED OUT COMPLETELY.
