I volunteered to do the Taming of the Shrew, a monologue and it is the first time I have heard of it. What is it about and how should I act when doing the monologue?

read it if you haven't, over and over. read the entire play so you get a better feeling for kate's character. if you still feel uninspired, you could watch one of the many filmed versions of this play.

If they have given you the monologue, you read it and then you know what it is about. If you have to find a monologue from Shrew, you will have to get a copy and read it and find a monologue. Kate has a good speech to the wives at the end of the play for this. Do your homework yourself and it will pay off
