Ok I have 10 fish....one is a plec, bottom feeder, I give him catfish pellets, but the other fish eat them too. Before he finds them they're gone.
I feed my fish aquarian fish flakes....and bloodworm every 3 days.?
Is my plec getting enough food what do I feed him?

I have 2 monster pleco's. Try feeding them algae wafers when you turn the lights out at night...this way the other fish may not see them. So long as the pleco is looking healthy, you don't have much to worry about because they are scavengers...they eat anything and everything. You can also try giving the pleco (and other fish) such things as a slice of orange (favorite of all my fish), zucchini, cucumber and many many other fruits and veggies (surf the net for more info on this). Remember that the flake food also falls to the bottom so there is always an array of food, algae, etc. etc. for these guys. Unless it starts looking scrawny, I wouldn't worry too much. ;o)
Good luck.

Purchase some algae wafers. I remember reading in Aquarium Fish Magazine that many plecos strave to deatn because of the exact problem you are having here. Feed your regular fish their flakes in the moring and feed your pleco before you go to bed. Plecos are nocturnal and our other fish are asleep during the day so they have a better chance of getting at their algea wafers and pellets during the night. Also a few pleco friendly plants to nibble on will keep him content.
Hope I could help!

i usually feed the fishes tetra color bits as it sinks and everyone gets them. Also i use 1/2 of an algae waffer for my SAEs which are like plecos. Tht way the can get their food and others will be looking at the other.

You can also set-up a feeding station which is basically one of those air line suction cups, and then put a pieces of cucumber or swiss chard on it. So it stays in the tank(bottom) and the algae eatters will eat it. i used this method very successfully with my royal farwolla.

Your best bet is to feed the pleco just before or after the lights go out for the night. They're nocturnal fish, so they won't have any trouble finding the food in the dark.

You might also try giving him more vegetable-based foods - slices of squash/zucchini and cucumbers, and pieces of dark leafy greens (romaine, collard, kale, spinach, dandelion) - you might need to weight these down or use a clip for the side of the tank so they stay in one place. Some plecos also like a piece of driftwood in the tank to nibble at.

Catfish pellets are not necessarily for Plecos, they should have algae discs,I've never seen any fish besides a plecostomus eat them. Also be sure that you provide a piece of driftwood for the Pleco, they actually eat the stuff.

Sure did! Feed your plec Algae Wafer. Feed only the amount your fish will completely consume within two hours.
