Austin has a Jewish community proportional to its size, yes. There's a large Jewish Community Center on Hart Lane off Far West Boulevard.

I'd say Houston (Meyerland and Bellaire areas) has the largest Jewish population in Texas.

Texas DOES have a large Jewish community. It's one of the reasons so many Jews uprooted by Katrina went to TX. Good Luck in your studies..... B'Shalom

Let me put it this way ... have you ever heard of Dell Computers?

Michael Dell (CEO of Dell Computers) is Jewish ... and has subsidized a lot of infrastructure in NW Austin for the local Jewish community. With that kind of backing, the numbers are growing all the time.

Come on down and enjoy yourself!
