Not me! I have a lot of liberal friends - some extremely liberal. Some I talk politics with - we just agree to disagree - others, we don't go there.
But people are people - no matter what political affiliation, color, religion, gender, whatever. We all need to start focusing on the fact that we have far more in common than not.

Well I don't like the term hate. After all the founder of Christianity bade his disciples to love everyone including their enemies. But I would say there exists a strong mutual dislike and distrust between the two. As for myself, I do have some friends on the other side of the political fence but I tend to avoid political issues when fraternizing with them.

This is a great question, and I agree with the previous answerer. In reality, most cons and libs will get along just fine. It is only the vocal minorities on the fringes of each side that truly feel hate. But this is not an insignificant number of people. If I were to guess, I'd say 10% on each side (20% of total US population) are dumb enough to REALLY hate. That vocal 20% can really screw things up...

Interesting thoughts come to mind on this question.
Overall, the answer is yes and no.
Libs really do hate cons most of the time which is evidenced by the malicious name calling from them.
On the other side, cons strongly disagree with the concepts that libs bring to the table but will happily sit at that table to talk about it with them. They will happily appear on liberal television to talk about ideas.
Libs it seems, are generating laws prohibiting any lib from appearing on conservative television (Fox).
Who really hates? Good question, the answer is obvious.

I don't hate Liberals, although I could safely say I hate much of what they stand for. As I hate much of what the supposedly Conservative movement stands for these days. Odd thing is I am much more Liberal than Conservative on many things. There are however certain issues on which "Liberals" make me physically ill. Which is why I vote primarily for Conservative candidates at the moment.
Like their almost universal opposition to the death penalty, while simultaneously supporting the right of every mother in America to give the death penalty to their own child as long as it's in the womb.
Like their almost universal opposition of my right to defend myself,my family and my home(Anti 2nd Amendment),while they simultaneously support policies that treat criminals with kid gloves.
And of course I am horribly offended by watching those Liberals in office, who want to raise my taxes year after year to help take care of those who refuse to take care of themselves, simultaneously making it harder for every American who works hard and pays their taxes to support themselves.
So until we finally get enough decent candidates who will look for solutions, rather than focusing on ideology I guess I'm stuck with the Conservatives. Because in short I would much rather live in George Bush's world, than in Hillary Clinton's.

I'm a pretty outspoken conservative, and I have many friends and colleagues who would classify themselves as liberals. I can't think of a single one of them who I "hate." We may disagree at times as to which policies should be set and how, but hate does not have to enter into disagreement if it's not allowed.

MN doesn't have many conservative women so I've had the task of kissing several dozen democratic women in my life time.
They're feisty, alive and have great vocals.
Love or hate them? They're amazing so I can't hate them... But I can disagree with them.

Largely no. Just the most extremist and vocal ones (on both sides).
