Why do some (not all, but its still a substantial amount) older people think most of the population under 30 is immature and inexperienced? My grandmother took me out amongst her friends one day and they were commenting on "you young people" .... and one had the audacity to call me a kid!
I have noticed this with a lot of the eldetly, that they don't take the younger generations seriously although we are the ones with the jobs paying the taxes for the Social Security to support their old butts....
I am currently in the process of a move and the guy leasing the place acted as if I were too young to keep up the place... and he called me a kid!
Has anyone ever felt short changed because of their age?

You may very well be a productive, mature, and responsible woman. Many under 30 are not the best examples of responsibility I'm sorry to say. Seems like people are acting like children longer. I've been on my own since I was 18, and I'm 42 now. I have always respected the input of my elders, whether, I agreed with them or not. They paved the way and deserve their say. You and I are still earning the right to be a giant boil on the butt of a "Youngster".

The older you get the more you think that you are entitled to
the respect of those younger than yourself. however the truth is that as you grow older your iq diminishes, you also think that you have gained wisdom but really you have just become set in your stuborn ways. you won't take chances out of fear, not discernment. but don't worry you will be the same exact way when you reach her age. I am 16 and make better decisions than all adults i know of.

Most young people are irresponsible because mommy and daddy spoiled them.
