Its according to if the court system has taken you passport or not! If you owe even the smallest amout of back pay child support/Arrearages then the court system will suspend your passport until that amout is paid in full! They won't suspend it if you just owe Current Support! So if you want to go on a Cruise then pay off all of your Arrearages first or look forward to staying in the States!

Currently the person would have to owe $5,000.00 or more for a passport to be denied. A cruise that doesn't leave America would not require a passport, so yes the owing party could partake in a cruise....if she goes before 2008.

Can they go on a cruise, yes. Can they leave the US without a passport, no. Should they be going on a cruise, now thats the question. Taking care of your child financially needs to come before the cruise.

This person should be using their money to pay the child support for the child that they had instead of going on a cruise.

If you apply for a passport and owe more than $2,500.00 in back child support, your application will be denied.

If this person owes child support that may be why she can't get the passport. I agree that she should concentrate on paying her child support instead of going on a cruise.
